Amazon.com Product Description Hailing from Highgear's Summit Series, the Axio Mini watch is built to guide you confidently up the mountain and back down again. The Axio Mini includes several valuable alpine tools, including a built-in altimeter, barometer, thermometer, and chronograph. The altimeter makes it easy to determine your altitude, with a Swiss air pressure/temperature sensor that offers a working range of -2,303 to 30,045 feet (with a 1-meter/1-foot resolution). The barometer, meanwhile, helps you forecast upcoming weather conditions, with a sea level and absolute barometer display and a 12-hour weather forecast icon. And should you want to know the current temperature, you can turn to the built-in digital thermometer, which offers a working range of 14 to 122 degrees F and displays in either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The Axio Mini also offers several sports watch functions, including a 100-hour chronograph with a 1/100-second resolution, a 10-run memory, and multiple alarms (two daily alarms, one rest alarm, one hydration alarm, and two altitude alarms). Other features include a memory that stores your starting altitude, accumulated altitude, maximum altitude, and total exercise time; a 12-/24-hour time display; a glass-reinforced nylon case; a mineral glass lens; water-resistance to 50 meters; an EL backlight; and a user-replaceable battery. About Highgear Highgear was born in the Appalachian Mountains in 1999, when outdoor enthusiast had a vision to create his own unique line of compact and affordable navigation tools. Highgear expanded its product line in 2001 to include watches, handheld navigational devices, and pedometers. The Durham, North Carolina-based company field tests many of its products in the surrounding areas, such as while skiing Sugar Mountain, biking Bent Creek, hiking Pisgah National Forest, and paddling the French Broad River. Highgear employees measure durability, accuracy, and reliability, and then spend hours brainstorming on how to improve intuitiveness, design, and function. The result is a line of high-performance tools that make adventure easier and more fun.

| Customer Reviews: Good enough for now May 12, 2010 Stephanie C. Keegan (Los Angeles, California) The altimeter as not nearly as accurate as I would have liked. I had to keep double checking with my Rhino GPS, and it was always pretty off, so you have to calibrate often. The barometer is awesome and I love the size and weight. I honestly purchased this over any other one because of the phenomenal price. I will probably have upgrade eventually, I new I was taking a risk buying such an inexpensive product.
