I ordered this velcro strap to replace the original rubber version. I was a bit disappointed with the overall size and bulk of the velcro model but soon learned to appreciate its comfort---it's very soft, and doesn't induce a sweaty wrist as with the rubber version. It's a bit cumbersome to get on and off, but that's a minor issue for me. Note that two tiny screwdrivers are needed for installation.

I was uncertain about the new neoprene strap when removing it from the packaging... but the moment I put in on, it was love! Very, very comfortable! And oh my, what a great look! My new Suunto went from very cool to down-right sexy! ;)

This strap is really wide. It's a good inch wide on his wrist. It also gets really smelly when he sweats because of the material it's made out of. He said it was comfortable, but made his wrist sweat, which leads us back to the smelly thing.

When the strap arrived I found that it attaches using Velcro. The strap is comfortable enough and light weight, but I now wonder about the longivity of the strap after attaching and detaching the velcro everyday.
