The Suunto Replacement Battery Kit includes a CR2430 battery, an O-ring, and a new lid, and fits Suunto 3-series watches, including the Vector, X-Lander, Altimax, Advizor, and Yachtsman. When you change the battery, carefully follow the instructions in the manual. Never use an old lid or O-ring. Check that the O-ring is clean and correctly in place before closing the battery compartment. This will ensure that the device remains waterproof.

Just what you need to replace a battery... July 27, 2010

You definitely need to replace the back when replacing the battery. To get the back off my Vector I had to superglue a coin to the coin slot on the back to be able to yank it out after turning it to the unlock position. This is much better than having to send in Casio G-shocks for battery replacement under vacuum.

What can I say. It either works (five stars) or it doesn't (no stars). Pretty much as advertised. Kit includes a battery and a repalcement cover. I've had my Vector ten years and replaced the battery and cover at least four times and this kit works. Hopefully, my watch will last for me to buy such a kit several more times.

Love the watch. Strap is weak point and DIFFICULT to find the identical one to replace it. Suunto says to go to dealers. Dealers say they cant find the part # so can't order it.
Batteries.... found FRESH ones here: [...]Dealer stocked batteries are ALWAYS ready to expire. frustrating.
Wish Suunto was better at supporting the product.
Customer service is limited to telling you to go to the dealer (who can't help), instead of resolving customer requests, immediately.

The strap was fine, but the battery wasn't so; It shows weakness after the second week it arrived. I didn't use the compass and the light which are the most power-hungry fuctions. As matter of fact I've never been lucky for batteries on this watch, maybe it just needs a battery every month - Sadly.
